La Fraschetta di Castel Sant'Angelo: Authentic Italian Dining Experience in Rome

There was no wait time for us to be seated so we decided to eat in their outdoor area which had a great ambiance to unwind and enjoy dinner. Their service staff and the food was great! The bread was hot and fresh, Wine was amazing, and the food was flavorful and were even offered a free bite of an appetizer they were trying. Overall I would recommend and return. Great value for the money. Depending on the time of the year though the location has a lot of foot traffic, so be weary during the on-times as there may be a lot more foot traffic than when we went in October.

Absolutely amazing experience! The pasta here is simply out of this world. We tried three different dishes, and honestly — it’s impossible to say which one was the best because each was incredible in its own way. The Amatriciana was a total knockout, packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The Carbonara? Phenomenal — creamy, rich, and just unforgettable. Every bite was pure joy. We’ve tried a lot of pasta all over Rome, and this place is definitely one of the best! If you love pasta, this spot is an absolute must!

Super great restaurant with a very friendly staff and most importantly, amazing food. Each plate you have is consistent, each bite you take is delicious. From the moment you are seated, the staff is very welcoming, giving suggestions if needed, and always being attentive. Word of advice, especially on weekends, make sure you make a reservation as wait times can exceed 30 minutes. There are a lot of locals that come eat here, so it's not a "tourist trap".

We had the best time in this restaurant, we got very good portions, great service and very good time, we didn't wait that long to get seated which was a plus. The waiter was very patient and kind with us, he help us understand the menu and all the team itself were very kind and joyful. We ordered the carbonara ,the pasta with ragu , the amattriciana and for dessert the tiramisu was okay, the cheesecake really good and the tangerine sorbet was one of a kind everything was delicious!

Absolutely amazing place . We were recommended by local guide and showed up without reservation on Saturday eve. They quickly manage to accommodate us and everyone was so friendly. Food is delicious and a lot.... we could not finish our plates and took what's left for later. We loved the atmosphere, the food and the staff is so very friendly. Strongly recommend if you are willing to expirience the Roman way .

Hands down the best restaurant we ate at while in Italy during our trip. All dishes were bang on from entree to dessert (Tiramasu). Carbonara had the right amount of saltiness and was cooked to perfection. Quite sad we found it on our second last day as I would have loved to have gone back to try their other dishes!
